Scheduling and Billing

Instruction Rates

Effective October 1, 2017, our rate for flight and ground instruction is $70/hour. The rate for flight instruction in your aircraft is $85/hour.

Scheduling Policy

Flight and ground lessons are available seven days a week, and should be scheduled within the following blocks of time:

  • 7 am – 9:30 am
  • 9:30 am – 12 pm
  • 1 pm – 3:30 pm
  • 3:30 pm – 6 pm
  • 6 pm – 8:30 pm

Students are responsible for maintaining their training schedule using Flight Circle. Students should schedule no more than 2 flight lessons per week. You may schedule as far into the future as you like. If you want to train more frequently than twice a week, we suggest that you check the schedule daily for cancellations. If you see an opening within the next 48 hours, you may schedule one additional lesson that week with an instructor. Solo flights may be scheduled as often as you like.

We may occasionally need to adjust your start time or switch you to another aircraft or another instructor than you originally selected.

Billing Policy

Students will be billed for the entire time that the instructor is providing ground instruction and/or flight instruction; this includes the pre-flight briefing and post-flight debriefing.

There is a minimum charge of 2 hours of instruction for all flight and ground lessons. Aircraft rental is billed separately. Payment is due after each lesson and can be made using a major credit card, check or cash.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that occasionally, a customer will need to cancel a lesson on short notice due to unexpected circumstances such as illness, or an urgent work or family obligation. If you are going to be late or need to reschedule, please call or send a text message to your instructor as soon as possible.

If you cancel within 24 hours of your lesson start time, we will make a reasonable attempt to offer your slot to another customer. If we cannot fill your slot, you will be billed for 2 hours of instruction. For example, if your lesson was scheduled to begin at 7 am and we receive your cancellation notification at 11 pm the night before, it’s unlikely we will be able to reschedule your slot with another customer.

No-shows will be billed for 2 hours of instruction.

Students should assume that their scheduled lesson will be conducted rain or shine. If the instructor determines that the lesson should be rescheduled due to weather, the student will be notified and no cancellation fee will be assessed.

Our primary scheduling objective is to ensure that all of our customers have an opportunity to fly twice a week and make progress. Thank you for your cooperation.
