Be A Pilot For A Day!

Ever wonder what it’s really like to be a pilot? Many people equate the title “pilot” with someone who flies an airliner, but the reality is that a pilot is anyone who stares gravity in the face and chooses to defy it! Our unique Pilot For A Day program offers a taste of what’s required to act as pilot in command of a single engine airplane like one of our Cessnas.

This total immersion experience includes:

• 1.5 hours of classroom instruction on the fundamentals of being a pilot including aerodynamics, aircraft systems, airspace, weather, and how real pilots handle emergency situations
  • Includes a preflight inspection of the aircraft and approximately 30 minutes of training on the flight simulator where you get to practice talking to air traffic controllers using PilotEdge
• 1 hour of flight training in one of our Cessna aircraft
• Pilot logbook signed by your flight instructor

Available 7 days a week by appointment: 7 am – 9:30 am, 9:30 am – 12 pm; 1 pm – 3:30 pm; 3:30 pm – 6 pm

NOTE: PilotEdge services are available starting at 11 am Eastern local time. If this service is not available during your experience, your instructor will play the role of ATC. If the flight cannot be completed due to weather conditions, the flight portion will be rescheduled or can be substituted for an additional hour of simulator time at the customer’s request.

Note To Participants: We recommend that students be at least 15 years old before beginning flight training. Well behaved children younger than 15 are welcome to experience a Discovery Flight with parental supervision. Please keep in mind that our simulators are expensive training equipment, not a home video game, and should be handled with care. Anyone who behaves in a disruptive or unsafe manner will be asked to leave, and will forfeit their discovery flight payment. Thank you for your attention and consideration.
